U.S. SAVINGS BONDS AT THE PEOPLES BANK
The Peoples Bank proudly offers U.S. Savings Bond, which are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America. We sell these as an agent of the U.S. Treasury Department. Your bonds are registered, so that the U.S. Treasury can replace them in the case of theft, mutilation, or loss.
Savings Bonds must be held for at least one year before redemption. We offer both Series EE and Series I Savings Bonds. Interest earned on Savings Bonds are exempt from state and local income taxes. Bonds are available in a variety of denominations. EE bonds are sold at half of face value and interest is based upon Treasury bond rates. I bonds are sold at face value and interest is based on a yield rate that will exceed inflation.

ATMs AND DEBIT CARDS AT THE PEOPLES BANK
Automated Teller Machines are located at our branch offices, in Gambier at 103 East Wiggin Street, and in Mount Vernon at 11423 Upper Gilchrist Road. There are no fees for withdrawals from any Peoples Bank account at either of these locations.
If you need to make a deposit after normal business hours please use one of our night depository’s located at both office locations. Deposits into the night depository are credited to your account on the next business. Deposits made via the ATM may be delayed.
You may access your account’s funds through many ATMs throughout the World. We are members of several ATM networks including Cirrus, MasterCard, Plus, Discover, Quest, Amercian Express and Visa. The owner of various ATMs in these networks normally assess a small fee to complete the transaction. Debit card users can also request cash back when using the card as a debit transaction and entering the personal identification number (PIN) at the merchants terminal. Most larger retail stores offer this service without charging a fee.

WIRE SERVICES AT THE PEOPLES BANK
Both domestic and international wire services are available at our offices. In addition a destination account number and bank routing number is normally needed to facilitate the monetary transfer. If you believe that you have a wire coming in, you can review your accounts at www.peoplesgambier.com to verify whether wired funds have been deposited.

CASHIER'S CHECKS AT THE PEOPLES BANK
Cashier’s Checks are official bank checks in which payment is guaranteed by the issuing bank. This is possible since payment for the amount of the check has been made as part of the purchase. Acceptance of Cashier’s Checks from another bank may require a hold, while the check is submitted to the originating bank for payment. Unfortunately this is necessary since there has been significant fraudulent activity associated with Cashier’s Checks. Cashier's Checks are considered guaranteed funds, therefore, you may not be able to place a stop payment on them.

NIGHT DEPOSITORY AT THE PEOPLES BANK
Both of our branches have night depository services. After hours deposits to your Peoples Bank accounts are always better made in the night depository than through the ATM machine because you will get quicker credit to your account. Simply place your Peoples Bank account deposit in an envelope and drop into the slot. If you have sizeable night deposits, such as for a business, let us know and we will provide you with a bag to use for your deposits.

For the convenience of our customers, The Peoples Bank offers 24/7 access to their account information by telephone. We can set you up to check on your account balances, order checks, or find out recent account transactions. Just ask, we will be glad to be able to help you get this setup.
