Internet access to your account information is available at www.peoplesgambier.com. You will be provided with a starter set of 6 checks and a Debit/ATM Card, if desired. A minimum opening deposit of $25.00 will be required. The low monthly service fee of $ 3.00 is waived as long as you maintain a daily minimum balance of $200. Access to your monthly statements is easily attained via a provided link in the website.

A Statement Savings account can be used for basic banking transactions, such as deposits and withdrawals. An ATM card is available that will allow the withdrawal of cash, but cannot be used for retail purchases. $25 is the minimal required deposit to open this account. As long as this minimal balance is maintained, interest will be credited according to the current savings rate. ATM cards are available. Statements are provided either quarterly or monthly depending upon the amount of account activity. A daily minimum balance of $100 will waive the monthly service charge. Withdrawals of six or fewer qualified items per month are included without charge, but each additional withdrawal will incur a $1.00 fee. Electronic statements are provided monthly.

A Peoples Bank ATM/Debit Card is a valuable tool in the utilization of your account. This card is available for those holding a Peoples Bank Checking Account. It provides access for those needing the convenience of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service. The Debit Card provides purchasing power at retail establishments around the World. With access to an ATM, the card allows many account services, such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers. Withdrawals of cash are limited to $200.00 per day. ATM only cards are available with Savings Accounts.
There is no charge for the use of an ATM/Debit card at an ATM located at either of The Peoples Bank Branches or at the Kenyon Athletic Center, 103 East Wiggin Street in Gambier, 11423 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Outside of our service area, you may also access your account through any ATM that displays any of the following network affiliations: Cirrus, Plus, Jeanie, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. The bank that owns another ATM machine may charge a fee for a transaction made through their institution.
Protect yourself from debit card theft and fraud by ensuring that your PIN is secure. Don’t share your card or PIN with others. If you are contacted through the telephone, or internet, by anyone asking for verification of your card number, account number, or other financial information - do not give out your information. If the caller is insistent, ask for a number to call back with the verification. They may not be who they profess to be. Always report any stolen or lost cards immediately to the Bank.
At the time of a withdrawal of cash from an ATM machine, you are provided with a receipt that includes a balance. Please be aware that this balance will often not reflect other activity that has occurred to your account in the past 24 to 48 hours. In this day of various electronic transactions, account balances can change very quickly. For this reason, we recommend that night deposits be made in our Night Depository rather than through the ATM machine, your account will be credited on the next business day per our disclosures.

Both domestic and international wire services are available at our offices. A destination account number and bank routing number is normally needed to facilitate the monetary transfer. If you believe that you have a wire coming in, you can review your accounts at www.peoplesgambier.com to verify whether wired funds have been deposited.

Automated Teller Machines are located at our branch offices, in Gambier at 103 East Wiggin Street, and in Mount Vernon at 11423 Upper Gilchrist Road and at the Kenyon Athletic Center. There are no fees for withdrawals from any Peoples Bank account at either of these locations.
If you need to make after normal business hours please use one of our night depository’s located at both office locations. Deposits into the night depository are credit to your account on the next business. Deposits made via the ATM may be delayed.
You may also access your account’s funds through many ATMs throughout the World. We are members of several ATM networks including Cirrus, Jeanie, MasterCard, Plus, Discover and Visa. The owner of various ATMs in these networks normally assess a small fee to complete the transaction.
